How to dress
If you have decided to attend Malden Baptist and are wondering what to wear let us help you with that. Our congregation comes dressed ranging from casual to dressy. You should feel comfortable wearing jeans and a tee shirt, you are welcome to do so. Ladies you don’t have to wear a dress and guys you don’t have to wear a jacket and tie. Come prepared to meet people who are not going to make a big deal about the way you are dressed.
When to come
We meet for Sunday school at 9:45 by going to our class rooms. Don’t worry you will find someone to greet you soon after entering the building (maybe before entering) and will have help getting to where you should be. Feel free to go with your children at first if you want. Sunday school ends at 10:45, which will allow you 15 minutes to make your way to the sanctuary. Church starts at 11:00pm and mostly ends promptly at noon.
Bible study and youth meetings are at 6:30pm on Wednesday.
Parking
Our main parking is located along Saline Drive between Wise Drive and Commerce Drive. We share a parking lot with Stevens and grass Funeral home which means that in the event that the funeral home is conducting a service at the same time as our service we may have to utilize parking on the opposite side of the church. The additional parking exits off Wise Drive on the northwest corner of the church. Handicapped visitors should park in front of the ramp at the church entrance.
Entering the Church
We use the Porch entrance of the church facing Saline Drive. You are welcome to enter off Wise Street which enters the rear of the sanctuary. If you use the Wise Street entrance, please be aware you must climb a few stairs out of the vestibule.
Finding your way
Once inside the church after entering off the parking lot you will find yourself in the hallway of the educational wing, having two choices for your next steps. Straight forward leads you past our Sunday school rooms, dining room and kitchen, restrooms and the pastors study. Turing right will lead you to the sanctuary. Should you be coming to the sanctuary and find that you have arrived a little late don’t worry just come on in and find a seat. We are happy to have you.
Where does the family go?
When attending the 1100am worship service you should know that we provide a nursery for the babies and toddlers. You are welcome to bring all your children with you into the sanctuary no matter what age. Should your little one have issues during the service, don’t worry most of us have raised children and we fully understand. If you need to leave the sanctuary for a moment, we will understand.
What to expect
We are not overly traditional with our order of worship, but we do use a hymnal for singing, and our songs are accompanied by a piano and organ. Special music often includes a guitar or is accompanied with CD’s.
The message combines the biblical text with a relevant story and focuses on life application.
